Description
One source of pleasantly warm fall foliage in Texas is the bald cypress, a deciduous tree that botanists know as Taxodium distichum. At a place called Jacob's Well in the town of Wimberley I found that a low branch of this young bald cypress had managed to snag the fluffy seed head of one of our most attractive native grasses, bushy bluestem, Andropogon glomeratus.
