Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

I'd only seen this phenomenon once before, several years earlier, so I was excited to find another occurrence. This time three large ants (rather than two smaller ones) had gotten trapped in the sticky resin that's produced by the stalks of sunflower plants (Helianthus annuus). Ants are powerful relative to their tiny body size, but not powerful enough to extricate themselves from the gooey sunflower resin, which becomes their tomb.
I've been involved with photography since the late 1960s, when I got my first real camera toward the end of my two years in Honduras as a Peace Corps math teacher. From the 1970s through the mid-1980s I went through a phase of black and white infrared photography, often even in 3-D. My current period began in 1999. Call me a nature photographer and you won't be wrong, but because there's not a lot of majestic scenery where I live (which is Austin, Texas), I've gotten interested in portraying the native plants of the region, especially our many wildflowers.
